A COUPLE OF WALKER COUNTY JAIL TRUSTEES HAD A BEER OR TWO, WHILE WORKING THEIR MAINTENANCE DETAIL AT A COUNTY BUILDING.

CAPTAIN MIKE FREEMAN SAID THE TWO RETURNED TO THE JAIL MONDAY "SMELLING OF ALCOHOL"… AND SOBRIETY TESTS WERE ADMINISTERED.   THE MEN WERE NOT FOUND TO BE LEGALLY DRUNK, BUT ADMITTED THEY HAD BEEN DRINKING.  FREEMAN SAID HE BELIEVES SOMEONE LEFT BEER FOR THE INMATES TO CONSUME.

THE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT IS REFUSING TO IDENTIFY THE TWO PRISONERS… BUT DID SAY THAT BOTH LOST THEIR TRUSTEE STATUS AND VISITATION PRIVILEGES.
