A WALKER COUNTY TEEN WAS ACCIDENTALLY SHOT TUESDAY AFTERNOON, ACCORDING TO THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE.  JOSEPH LEE COFFMAN HAD JUST RETURNED HOME FROM A HUNTING TRIP WITH FRIENDS, WHEN A 15 YEAR OLD DROPPED A 20-GUAGE SHOTGUN.  IT DISCHARGED AND STRUCK COFFMAN IN THE ABDOMEN. 

THE 17 YEAR OLD VICTIM WAS FLOWN BY LIFE-FORCE TO ERLANGER, FOR SURGERY.  THE ACCIDENT OCCURED IN SOUTH WALKER COUNTY… A TRION ADDRESS… ON THOMAS DAIRY ROAD.  SHERIFF STEVE WILSON SAID THE INVESTIGATION IS CONTINUING.
