A man wanted on several felony charges in Alabama may be in the North Georgia area, according to officers with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.

Stacey Mitchell Gardner is wanted in Alabama on charges of attempting to commit a controlled substance crime, tampering with physical evidence, resisting arrest and attempting to elude law enforcement officers. In addition to being wanted in Cherokee County, Alabama he is also wanted in Dekalb County, Alabama on several unrelated offenses.

Gardner is considered to be potentially armed and dangerous. He is described as a 5 feet, 11 inches tall white male, with dark brown hair and is believed to have brown eyes. Deputies with the Cherokee County, Alabama Sheriff’s Department say that Gardner could be around the Menlo or Rome areas of North Georgia.
