The Chattooga County Water District met in their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday evening. Board Chairman Sammy Lee had put forward the idea of providing uniforms for the Water District Employees, but the decision was made on Tuesday evening to adopt a dress code rather than go the expense of uniform rental.
The new dress code for water district workers, excluding office staff, is for long -pants, shirts with sleeves and work boots. Also the Water District has safety vests that workers are currently wearing. In the future those vests will be clearly marked "Chattooga County Water District."
Board Chairman Sammy Lee said that it was important that people be able to identify water district workers and that they dress appropriately. The board agreed and passed the dress code unanimously.
