The Chattooga County Water District met in their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday evening of this week and voted to purchase new equipment. The purchase of the equipment is due to the expansion of the water district as it begins to serve customers in the Gore-Subligna Area.
The district voted to accept the lowest bids on a cut-off saw from North Georgia Equipment Sales along with a new Ford F-150 four wheel drive pickup truck from Carl Gregory Ford in Fort Payne, AL. and a used John Deere Backhoe.
The water district is looking to put a second location for equipment storage on the east side of Taylors Ridge by the time the new Gore-Subligna water project is up and going.
