The Nrothwest Georgia Regional Commission will be holding a second water quality meeting for Chattooga County on Tuesday August 11 concerning the Chattooga River watershed, particularly the stretch from Lyerly to the state line.

The group will discuss what can be done to address the fecal cloliform impairment on this segment.  Public input is being asked for at the meeting.  If you live in the watershed area or are otherwise interested you are encouraged to attend the meeting August 11th which will be held at the civic center in Summerville.

The meeting will be held form 2 to 4 pm and will be an open house style meeting where you can review the plans and talk with the planners and representatives from various government agencies who are working to address this issue.
