Another round of quick thunderstorm struck with a force on Wednsday afternoon.  The late afternoon storms pounded parts of Chattooga County with rain and strong winds.  There were reports of trees down in the Teloga area and in the Mahan Road area in the county.

Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters told AM 1180 Wednesday afternoon that county work crews were working to clear roadways of downed trees.  North Georgia Electric Membership Company crews were also out late into the evening working to restore power to customers in the Chelsea, Mahan Road and Teloga areas.

Around 7 PM on Wednesday evening the Georgia State Patrol was re-routing traffic on the Trion-Teloga Road due to a downed tree.  According to reports the tree was a small tree that had blown into the roadway.
