THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MIXED WITH SLEET… WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 10 AM EST SATURDAY.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IN THE CENTRAL GULF OF MEXICO WILL MOVE RAPIDLY NORTHEAST OVER FLORIDA TONIGHT AND UP ALONG THE MIDDLE ATLANTIC COAST ON SATURDAY. THE SNOW WILL END SATURDAY MORNING IN MOST AREAS… EXCEPT IN THE NORTHEAST GEORGIA MOUNTAINS WHERE IT MAY LAST INTO SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW AND POSSIBLY SLEET WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES. MOTORISTS AREA ADVISED TO USE CAUTION AND SLOW DOWN WHILE DRIVING.
