Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters is in Atlanta today joining county commissioners from around the state in a two-day annual event that provides required training for county commissioners.

Commissioners are expected to hear about developments in the Georgia General Assembly that affects counties in the state.  The legislative review sessions scheduled for Tuesday will cover issues from the statewide water plan and the transportation funding crisis to property and sales tax proposals.

Additionally, Gov. Sonny Perdue is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the luncheon, and a panel of Senate and House committee chairs will present their take on hot issues. A tour of the capitol and meetings with local delegates will follow.
