Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters said that he plans to hold more free trash days in Chattooga County to help residents keep our county clean.

Winters made the announcement at Thursday night’s County Commissioner meeting that was held at the Chattooga County Courthouse Annex in Summerville.  The county had a free trash day on June 13th at the Chattooga County Transfer Station located on Stockade Road in Summerville.  There was so much participation that local fire departments were called in to help with traffic control.

Winters said that he plans to hold the free trash service at least once a quarter in the future, and said there will be two or three more free trash days between now and the end of the year.
