A woman was killed Thursday in LaFayette when she pulled in front of a pickup on U.S. 27.

According to Georgia State Patrol Post 41 Master Trooper R.W. Bowman:

The woman, driving a red Buick, was traveling east on Foster Mill Boulevard and was crossing four-laned U.S. 27 when the wreck occurred about 3 p.m. After hitting the pickup, her car went into a ditch. She was wearing her seatbelt.

The woman’s identity was not released pending notification of relatives.

Georgia State Patrol Post 41 and LaFayette Fire and Rescue responded to the scene.
