Chattooga County is part of the route for the World’s Longest Yard Sale.  Vendors began setting up their booths earlier this week all down the route which stretches from West Unity, Ohio to Gadsden, Alabama.  

In Chattooga County the official “yard sale” route follows Highway 27 from the Walker County Line to Highway 48 and the Alabama Line.  Also the route includes Highway 157 on Lookout Mountain. "The World’s Longest Yard Sale" began yesterday and continues through Sunday. 

Many vendors have set up at Dowdy Park in Summerville with the event being organized by the Chattooga County Tourism Committee.  Money raised from the booths at Dowdy Park will be donated to local charity.
