A Floyd County woman was taken to Redmond Regional Medical Center following a three-vehicle wreck Wednesday afternoon on U.S. 27 at Ga. 156.

According to Greg Beck and Chad Johnson of the Floyd County Police Department:

Delores Graham, of a Texas Valley Road address, was driving a Kia Sedona on U.S. 27 when she tried to turn east onto Ga. 156. Beck said she apparently turned into the path of a tractor-trailer truck driven by Jonathan Earl Smith of Alabama. The truck collided with Graham’s vehicle, sending it into a Ford F-150 pickup driven by Stephen Don Copeland of Floyd County.

The impact pushed the Kia and the pickup into the turn lane of U.S. 27. Beck said rescue units were called, and the only person injured was Graham. He said she was complaining of minor injuries and was taken to Redmond Regional Medical Center for evaluation.

The wreck occurred around 2:45 p.m., and one lane of

U.S. 27 was closed in both directions for about an hour as emergency crews and tow trucks worked the scene and removed the vehicles.

Beck said the wreck was still being investigated, and he was unsure if any charges would be filed.
