On Monday, former Georgia Governor Nathan Deal endorsed Gary Black in his campaign for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Raphael Warnock.

In a video released yesterday, Deal said, “I’ve known Gary for over 20 years. We worked together for the entire time that I was governor. And he’s done a great job representing everyone in our state. That’s the kind of leadership we need in Washington. I support Gary Black, and I hope that you will also support and vote for Gary Black for the United States Senate.”
“Governor Deal has been a great leader for Georgia. He and Sandra are models of class, who approach public office with servants’ hearts,” Gary said. “I am honored to have their support and to call them friends.”
Governor Deal joins hundreds of elected officials and community leaders across Georgia who form the backbone of an unprecedented grassroots team of Gary Black supporters. Gary’s “Team 22” has already organized all 159 Georgia counties with nearly 60 of them fielding a full team of 22 prominent supporters each. This growing team is getting out Gary’s message and energizing Republican and independent voters to return sanity to Washington, D.C.
