What is KOZ?
Kid’s Outdoor Zone (KOZ) is a program dedicated to young boys, ages 8-18, in Floyd, Chattooga, and surrounding Counties that meet on the second Saturday of the month at Armuchee Baptist Church. KOZ teaches boys Biblical truths of how to be the boy God has designed them to be while learning how to hunt, fish, and camp under trained, experienced, leadership. Hope For The Hungry At Central Avenue Baptist Church

There’s Hope for the Hungry will be at the Central Avenue Baptist Church in Trion on Thursday, July 9, 2026, to give away free groceries. Come between the hours of 10:00 am and 1:00 pm to get your free groceries. No ID is required. But, you must be present to receive the food.

The free Clothes Closet will also be available from 10:00 until 12:30. We look forward to seeing you. We are located at

Dry Valley Baptist Church Invites Children and Families to Vacation Bible School
Dry Valley Baptist Church is inviting children and families to its annual Vacation Bible School, “Illumination Station,” beginning Sunday, July 12.
The five-day event will be held July 12 through July 16 at Dry Valley Baptist Church, 451 Dry Valley Church Road in Summerville. Activities will begin each evening at 5:30 p.m., with the program concluding at 8 p.m.
This year’s theme, Illumination Station, is based on John 8:12 and will focus on sharing the light of Jesus through Bible lessons, music, games, crafts, and fun activities designed for children of all ages.
Church leaders say they are excited to welcome families from across the community for a week of learning, fellowship, and faith-filled fun. Everyone is invited to attend.

Wayside Baptist Church to Host “Be That Woman” Ladies Conference
Women from across Chattooga County and the surrounding area are invited to attend “Be That Woman,” a special ladies conference hosted by Wayside Baptist Church later this month.
The event will be held Saturday, July 18, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Wayside Baptist Church, 855 Sloppy Floyd Lake Road in Summerville.
Organizers say the conference is designed to encourage women through worship, fellowship, and biblical teaching while providing an opportunity to build meaningful friendships and strengthen their faith. Attendees are encouraged to bring their Bible, personal notes, friends, and a heart ready to worship.
The morning will also include gourmet coffee and the church’s signature “Dirty Alanis” beverage from Wildflower Café, with refreshments beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Church leaders say the conference is intended to inspire and equip women to grow spiritually while connecting with others in the community. Those planning to attend are encouraged to reserve their spot in advance.

Summerville Seventh-day Adventist Church to Host Vacation Bible School July 6-10
Children in Chattooga County will have the opportunity to step back in time and experience life in ancient Rome during a week-long Vacation Bible School at the Summerville Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The program will be held Monday, July 6, through Friday, July 10, from 10 a.m. until noon each day at the church, located at 1759 Highway 114 in Summerville.
Organizers say children will enjoy Bible stories, games, crafts, music, snacks, and other hands-on activities designed to bring the early Christian church to life. The program is open to children ages 5 through 12. Children under the age of 5 are welcome to attend when accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or another responsible adult.
Vacation Bible School is free to attend, and organizers invite families throughout the community to take part in the week of faith, fun, and fellowship.

All Things Grace Under Fire Women’s Conference

All Things Grace Under Fire Women’s Conference will be held June 26-27, 2026 at the Chattooga County Civic Center in Summerville.

The conference theme is “There’s a Rumble…” and is centered around faith, encouragement, and spiritual growth for women. The event includes three sessions: Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 10 a.m., and Saturday at 6 p.m.

Organizers are also seeking vendors, sponsors, and ministry partners to participate. Registration and additional information are available through the conference website and QR code featured on the event flyer.

The conference is inspired by the message of 1 Corinthians 14:33, emphasizing God’s peace and faithfulness during life’s challenges.
