A forty-five-year-old Chattooga County woman was jailed in Floyd County this week in connection with a forgery incident that happened in July of 2020.

According to records from the Floyd County Jail, Amy Diane Walters of Summerville was arrested on warrant this week. Walters is accused of signing someone else’s name on a check in the amount of $750 and the cashing the check.   The incident happened at Regions Bank on Turner McCall Boulevard.

Walters is charged with theft by taking, theft by receiving stolen property and 4^th degree forgery.
