Cherokee County Sheriff’s Investigators were on the scene of a shooting incident Saturday afternoon that occurred around 1 PM at a residence on County Road 662 in the Round Mountain Community.
Central Dispatch gave the call out as one person shot and one possibly stabbed. After law enforcement officers arrived on the scene, they called for the coroner. According to reports, two children were present in the home when the altercation and shooting took place.
Sheriff Jeff Shaver said his department would give us a statement as the investigation proceeds and they have more information.
