Two passengers were hurt and the driver was arrested following a midnight chase by a Walker Sheriffs Deputy on Highway 193 North of the 136 intersection, Tuesday.
The chase started when the Deputy noted a vehicle with no tag. He then saw a woman trying to exit the moving vehicle and screaming for help. The vehicle being chased reached over 100 miles per hour and the Deputy lost sight. Moments later, he happened upon the wrecked vehicle and saw the driver running away. Two passengers complained of injuries and were transported to Erlanger.
Twenty-nine-year-old Deonte D. Marsh of Chickamauga was taken into custody and charged with fleeing, reckless driving, reckless conduct, kidnapping, failure to maintain lane, running a stop sign and hit and run, for leaving the scene.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the wreck.
