The City of Summerville embarked on a project last year to bring well water from a site off Highway 48 (the Menlo Highway) to the filter plant located on Raccoon Creek on Filter Plant Road. The city council is looking to make some expensive equipment expenditures for the project at tomorrow’s council meeting.
According to an agenda released by the city, the council will be asked to approve the purchase of a 2022 Western Starr dump truck, costing $156,853.11 and a JCB Excavator with a price tag of $223,924.
The council meeting will take place at 5 PM at Summerville City Hall and the public is invited to attend.
