A Summerville woman, in charge of cleaning her friends apartment, reported some coins as stolen last week after a suspicious visit.

Summerville Police Officers responded to a Summerville Gardens apartment where they met with Susan Trafficano about a theft. Trafficano stated that she was watching the apartment for her friend, Lori Gilmore, while she was away. The day prior, August 3rd, Trafficano and another neighbor, Stella Moore, had went into Gilmores apartment to do some cleaning. On August 4th, at around 10 pm, Stella Moore called Susan stating that she heard some knocking in Gilmores apartment and it needed to be checked out. Trafficano arrived with the key, but Moore entered the apartment first, stating that “she wasn’t scared and she would find out what the knocking noise was”, then locked Trafficano out.

Around 10 minutes later, Moore exited the apartment, stating that everything was okay. After initially leaving, Susan Trafficano started to feel that something was not right about the encounter and went back. Searching the apartment on her own, she noticed that a container of coins was missing that had been there the day prior. Officers told Trafficano to notify Lori Gilmore of the theft and a report was placed on file.
