A wandering dog caused property damage to a neighbors outdoor furniture, according to reports from the Summerville Police Department.
Summerville Police met with Nischa Whitaker at her Woods Street address regarding damage to property on her back porch. Whitaker stated that a white dog, belonging to a neighbor on Woods Street had been seen in her yard. The dog was known to not be on a chain and wonder the neighborhood damage trash and other property. In the backyard a yellow pillow with the stuffing pulled out had been observed with the dog. Whitaker stated that the pillow cost approximately $10 and that she simply wanted the pillow replaced and the dog put up.
Officers later traveled to the owner and spoke with them. The female at the residence was advised to keep the dog put up and to make arrangements with Whitaker about replacing the pillow.
