Today is the opening day of the 2021 Chattooga County Agricultural Fair.  Gates will open at 5 PM this evening and students will get in free, courtesy of AgGeorgia Farm Credit.

The first livestock show of the fair will be held at 5:30 PM this evening.  It’s the 4H – FFA Jr. Market Goat Show.  The show is eligible to official Georgia 4-H and FFA members state-wide. Cherokee, and De Kalb Counties of Alabama
are also eligible.

Armbands for the midway will be $20 this evening, that compares to $25 on Friday and Saturday.

5:30 pm – Linda Leslie – Chattooga County Farm Bureau – Ice Cream Time!

• Ever wondered how to make great ice cream?  Join us for tips, tricks, and recipes for a variety of methods: everything from ice cream in a bag, using a Kitchen Aid, and secrets for firm homemade ice cream! Children accompanied by adult attendees can make their own ice cream-in-a-bag.

7:00pm – Heather Kyner – Another Niche – Upcycling Decor –

• Ms. Kyner will be discussing the thought processes behind using found objects to create home décor and demonstrating how to upcycle a piece.  Give your creative eye a boost and look at found objects in a whole new way.

8:30pm – Misty Blackwood – DIRT Design & Décor – Beginning Block Art –

• Ms. Blackwood will be demonstrating wood block art and participants will have a piece to take home.  Come by DIRT and sign up to hold your spot for the FREE class.
