The Chattooga County Agricultural Fair opened on Thursday evening and continues through Sunday, August 29th. The fair is taking place at the Chattooga County Ag Building and Summerville Middle School property on Middle School Drive just off Highway 100 in Summerville.
At the fair on Thursday, visitors were able to enjoy some great food from multiple food vendors and a new attraction this year – helicopter rides. The rides proved popular with guests on Thursday. The cost is $20 per person.
Tonight at the fair, visitors will be able to see demonstrations at the Chattooga Farm Bureau Demonstration Room. Demonstrations will include: Home Canning Basics; Sourdough Bread making and beeswax candle making. The demonstrations are free with your gate admission.
Also, the Jr. Market Lamb Show will be taking place at the pavilion. The lamb show gets underway at 5:30 PM.
There will be musical entertainment on the Smith Iron Works Stage this evening from Southern Rock group Blackstone Cherry. The show starts at 9 PM and is free with your paid gate admission of $5. Ride arm bands will be $25 this evening.
WZQZ will be broadcasting live from the fair again this evening from 5 – 7 PM.
