Around 250 protestors gathered across from Floyd Medical Center in Rome on Friday afternoon to express their displeasure with employers mandating COVID-19 vaccines for their employees.

Some of the protestors told reporters that they weren’t necessarily opposed to the vaccine, but feel that employers should not be able to require their employers to get vaccines.  Others, expressed their views that the vaccines are some kind of conspiracy or that they are ineffective.

The rally received support from 14th District Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Floyd Medical Center issued a statement saying that they respected the protesters rights to protest peacefully and urged their employees with questions about the vaccine to have a dialogue with health care professionals about the vaccines.

Atrium – the parent company of Floyd Medical Center – has announced that at some point, they will require vaccines from all employees.
