According to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, a Dalton, Georgia woman’s car was crushed by a fallen tree while she was camping on Dry Creek over the holiday weekend.

A deputy on patrol in the Dry Creek Road area was approached by a man who said that he and a woman had been camping over the weekend when the water got up and left the couple stranded for a period of time.  While the couple were stranded, a tree fell over on the woman’s vehicle.

The deputy spoke with Julie Caylor of Dalton and saw the vehicle.  He advised the woman to have the vehicle towed and that an incident report would be completed for the woman’s insurance company.
