Chattooga County has added another COVID death, according to the numbers released by the Georgia Department of Public Health.

As of Friday, there have been 82 deaths from COVID since the beginning of the pandemic in Chattooga County.

In a five-county area in Northwest Georgia, there were a total of 24 COVID deaths in 24-hours from Wednesday to Thursday of this week.  Five were in Floyd County, 5 in Bartow County, 6 in Gordon County and one in Chattooga.

From September 3rd to the 16th, there were 467 new COVID cases reported in Chattooga County.
