UPDATE 5:07 PM: Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader has confirmed that a pedestrian was hit on Highway 27 at the Chattooga / Floyd County line.
UDPATE 4:49 PM: Reports from the scene indicate that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.
Expect delays at the Chattooga / Floyd County line on Highway 27. Both southbound lanes are at a standstill. There is a tree-trimming crew working in the area and there appears to have been some sort of emergency. Emergency vehicles are on the scene.
