A Summerville man was arrested on Sunday after police say he violated a temporary protective order.  Police were called to a Hilltop Street address after a female complainant said that a man who was ordered not to come around her, had shown up at her house.

When police arrived on the scene, the man had already left, but they went to his house and found him in his vehicle, sitting in the driveway.  The man was agitated, according to police, and said that the complainant had text him and told him to come to her house.   Police asked if they could see the text conversation, but nothing in the texts indicated that the woman had asked to see him.

Thirty-three-year-old Tony Crabtree admitted to police that he knew he had the protective order and was not supposed to be at the woman’s house.

Crabtree was arrested for violation of a temporary protective order and booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
