A Chattooga County resident reported a case of debit card fraud to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office earlier this week.
According to an incident report, Kenneth Hobson Stewart came into the sheriff’s department and told a deputy that a woman in Chattanooga had borrowed his car and then used his debit card.
According to Stewart, the woman had withdrawn $253.30 without permission, but then a credit of $330.78 appeared on his card.
The complainant canceled his card through his bank, but wanted a report filed about the incident. The case was turned over to an investigator.
