Fort Oglethorpe Police say they’re looking for a pickup truck driver who shot a motorcycle rider in the abdomen in an apparent road rage incident, Sunday afternoon.

The rider said the motorist “cut him off” on Battlefield Parkway and he chased him down to approach the vehicle.  During a verbal altercation, the driver shot the rider and left the scene.

An anonymous tip led Police to the suspect’s vehicle, but the search for the driver of the pickup, identified by police as thirty-one-year-old Joshua Aaron Bassham continues.

Police have taken out arrest warrants for Joshua Aaron Bassham for Aggravated Assault, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, and Use of Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
