The Chattooga County Board of Education has a called meeting on Thursday to allow the public time to comment on the promotion of a faculty member who is also closely related to a member of the Chattooga County Board of Education.

Board Chairman Eddie Elsberry told WZQZ News that while many school systems might just go ahead with the promotion, the board feels that the public should be kept abreast of the situation and allow the public to have questions answered.

Elsberry said, “The board just wanted to have a meeting for public input since Lynn Hall is on Board of Education and we are making (his daughter) Angie Hall-Culbert an administrator as AP at high school.”

A public meeting will be held tomorrow, Thursday, October 21st at 5:30 PM at the Chattooga County Education Center on Penn Street in Summerville.
