The City of Summerville has selected Harold Tucker to serve as the city’s new public safety director.  Tucker was one of three applicants for the position.

According to Summerville City Manager Janice Galloway, Tucker was the only candidate for the position that lived inside the county.  Tucker is a thirty-four year veteran of the Summerville Police Department.  He will be taking over the position that was held by retiring Summerville Police Chief Stan Mosley.

Tucker had announced earlier this year that he would be retiring from the police department, but will now be serving as Police Chief and Public Safety Director.
