A Summerville man filed a report with the Summerville Police Department on Monday of this week in reference to a lost gun.

Rodney Wood told a responding officer that he needed to file the report because he has not been able to locate his gun since an accident that happened earlier this month.  Police say that during the accident, on October 6, 2021, the contents of Wood’s truck were scattered all over Northwest Congress Street.

A search by Woods and police officers failed to turn up the missing weapon.  Wood wanted a report to be on file concerning the missing gun.

The report indicated the gun was a Smith & Wesson with a serial number of STZH2290.
