Another shoplifter was arrested at Wal-Mart after attempting to “skip scan” items and leave without paying.

The Chattooga County Sheriffs Office arrested an individual last week after the shopper attempted to steal several items. Officers met with The APA of  Wal-Mart who stated that the suspect, Jonathan Blackmon, had been observed “skip scanning” several items. Blackmon would scan one item and then bag it and another unscanned item. Blackmon then proceeded to pass all points of sale with the unpaid items. There were 5 unpaid items totaling $32.24 in Blackmons bag. Blackmon was placed under arrest for Theft by Shoplifting and taken to the Chattooga County Jail without further incident.
