One woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license after she attempted to pass through a safety checkpoint setup by the Chattooga County Sheriffs Office.

A safety checkpoint ended up nabbing one woman who was driving illegally, according to reports from the Chattooga County Sheriffs Office. During a checkpoint setup at Butler Dairy Road and Sprayberry Hill Road a green Honda CRV SUV approached the checkpoint. Officers approached the vehicle and asked the driver, identified as Candas Ann Morgan, for their drivers license and proof of insurance. Morgan produced an Alabama drivers license which the Officer ran through the Chattooga E-911 system. Morgans license came back as suspended in the State of Alabama due to a failure to appear. Officers had Morgan pull her car to an adjacent roadway where they advised her that the drivers licenses was suspended and she would be placed under arrest. Morgan was allowed to place a call to make arrangements to pick up her vehicle, and then she was transported to the Chattooga County Jail without further incident.
