Floyd County Police arrested an Elm Street, Trion man on charges of DUI after he was found sleeping inside his vehicle at a gas station on Martha Berry Highway.

According to a report released by the Floyd County Police Department, the incident happened on October 24th when an officer received a call about someone slumped over in a vehicle that “was breathing but not breathing”.   A caller alerted Floyd County 911 shortly before 2 AM and told the dispatcher that the person in the vehicle was unresponsive.

When officers arrived on the scene, they managed to wake the driver, identified as thirty-three-year-old Joshua Hatcher,

After a field sobriety test, Hatcher was arrested for DUI.  Hatcher had been arrested in February of this year for DUI for alcohol and an open container and was driving on revoked license, according to Floyd County Police.
