A forty-two-year-old Halls Valley Road man has been arrested and charged with battery according to arrest reports from the Walker County Sheriff’s Office.
It is not the first time the man has been arrested for domestic violence.
Griffin was a Walker County deputy when he was arrested in 2019 after a domestic incident. In that incident, a woman told officers she was watching television with a co-worker when Griffin knocked on the back door. She told officers he then came through the front door and made his way inside, yelling and cursing at the co-worker being there. The woman said Griffin accused her of having sex with the co-worker, which she denied.
The woman told officers Griffin had been drinking, and was unable to drive. Griffin told officers he had had about four beers, according to the report.
The latest arrest came last week when Corey Lee Griffin was booked into the Walker County Jail after being charged with battery.
