
Chattooga County Commissioner Blake Elsberry is seeking bids for jail meals for the upcoming year.
According to a sealed bid notice from the commissioner, the bids will be accepted until Friday, November 19th. Bids will be opened at 2 PM.
The meals are to be furnished to the Chattooga County Jail two times daily and are to be picked up by the Sheriff’s Department. The meals must conform to the Georgia Dietetic Association Diet Manuel and include a minimum of 3,100 calories daily. Also, the meal provider must provide cups, utensils and salt and pepper. The meal plans must be submitted to the commissioner’s office one week in advance and be approved by a dietitian or nutritionist.
The meal contract will run from January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2022.
