A thirty-eight-year-old LaFayette woman has been charged with elder abuse, which was allegedly witnessed by others on multiple occasions.
Ginger Leigh Vinyard is accused of “willfully inflicting physical pain” on the victim… a man over 65 years of age. Police got a referral from Adult Protective Services.
The report states that Vinyard kicked the man, smacked him in the face, pushed and hit him and yelled orders directed at him.
Detective Robert Tate wrote that he feels the evidence points to “a pattern of behavior that is inflicting physical pain, injury and mental anguish”.
Among charges for an Oct. 28th incident, Vinyard was accused of exploitation and intimidation of an elder person.
