Last week a Roberts Drive, Summerville man called the sheriff’s department about a dispute he was having with his landlord.

When the deputy arrived on the scene, he spoke with Jeffery Gordy who said that the heat was not working and he called his landlord.  The landlord came with a heater repair man but while the heating repair man was working on the heat, the landlord and the repairman got into a heated argument.

Mr. Gordy told that deputy that at some point in the argument, he was spit on.  Mr. Gordy told the deputy that he didn’t want anyone back at the residence and wanted to file a report about the incident and the fact that his heat was not working.

The deputy advised the complainant, and the landlord,  about magistrate proceedings.
