On Thursday the Committee to Reelect Brian Kemp, Governor of Georgia issued a list of over 270 county commissioners that have endorsed the Republican governor’s reelection bid.
Among those commissioners endorsing Kemp were Chattooga County Sole Commissioner Blake Elsberry and the entire Walker County Commission.
Governor Kemp said of the endorsements, “”Since taking office in 2019, I have made it a priority to govern as a local control governor. Working with county officials throughout our state, we tackled a once-in-a-century global pandemic, kept our children in the classroom, and kept our state open for business. Together, we’ve backed our law enforcement, brought historic levels of jobs and investment to communities large and small, and we’ve gotten Georgians back to work with historic lows in unemployment. I am honored to have the endorsement of these great leaders, and I look forward to continuing to work with them for four more years.”
