Earlier this year, longtime Chattooga Lady Indians softball coach Jeff Bennett had announced that he would be retiring after this season.  After the announcement, Chattooga High School surprised Coach Bennett by naming the new softball field in his honor.

After an amazing season, Coach Bennett had a change of heart and decided that he isn’t ready to retire and will be coaching the Lady Indians next season.

This week, Coach Jeff Bennett was named Region 7 AA Coach of the Year.
