A LaFayette woman was arrested last week after she went to the home where her daughter was staying.

According to police reports, thirty-nine-year-old Nancy Ann Smith went to the foster home where her daughter had been placed by the Georgia Department of Family and Children’s Services.  Smith made threats to the woman who was in charge of taking care of Smith’s daughter.  The foster parent said that Smith was not allowed to be withing 500 feet of the residence.

When LaFayette Police arrived on the scene on Foster Mill Drive, Smith reportedly tried to kick officers several times.

Smith was arrested and charged with obstruction of officers, terroristic threats and acts along with driving violations.
