A group of business owners have petitioned the Trion Town Council to annex their retail locations into the Trion Town Limits.

Local Real Estate Agent Steve Baker, representing the business owners, approached the Trion Town Council at their November meeting to make the request.  Baker was representing the businesses and property owners along Highway 27 – including the car wash owned by B.J. Gamble, Priority Medical Center, a gym and a building owned by Tim Perry.

Baker told the council that they would like to be annexed into the town, but only on the condition that the town will provide sewer service to the businesses.

The Summerville News reported this week that Trion Mayor Larry Stansell believes that it would be a good move for the town, and says that there are other businesses in the area that have expressed interest in addition to the ones represented by Mr. Baker.
