Chattooga County Commissioner Blake Elsberry announced a public meeting to adopt the 2022 Chattooga County Fiscal Year Budget.  The meeting will be held on Friday of next week at the commissioner’s office.

Elsberry will be approving a $15.1 million budget for the county.  According to the commissioner’s numbers, $8.1 million of the county’s revenue will be coming from property taxes and another $3 million will be coming from the county’s Special Local Option Sales Tax.

This year’s budget reflects a $373,267 increase in expenditures compared to the $14.7 million budget that was approved last year by then-Commissioner Jason Winters.
