A Chattooga High School graduate and current student at Kennesaw State University received word that he has been admitted to the United States Military Academy.

Nineteen-year-old Chandler Fowler is a 2020 graduate of Chattooga High School.

Candidates for admission to West Point must apply directly to the academy and receive a nomination, usually from a member of Congress. Other nomination sources include the president and vice president.

The academic program grants a Bachelor of Science degree with a curriculum that grades cadets’ performance upon a broad academic program, military leadership performance, and mandatory participation in competitive athletics.
