The Chattooga County Historical Society will have the Couey House  open for Christmas in the Park Friday night from 6 to 9.

For the 5th year, the home will be decorated with natural greenery by the Chattooga County Garden Club. The Couey House is one of the oldest , if not the oldest, home in the county.It was built in the late 1830’s from hand hewed logs in the Tidings area. For those of you who have not been inside the house, Friday will be a great opportunity to see a part of Chattooga’s history.
