Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader said that his office was able to deliver Christmas baskets to residents at Oakview Nursing Home on Tuesday.

Sheriff Schrader said, “A very special ‘Thank you’ to the ladies of the Sheriff’s Office for their work on our senior baskets. They were able to make and deliver 144 baskets to the residents of Oakview Nursing and Rehab.”

Sheriff Schrader told WZQZ News that members of the community have been very generous to help the sheriff’s office with monetary donations that allow for the gift baskets for the residents at Oakview.

Also, the sheriff’s office has been delivering Christmas baskets to seniors throughout the county on the sheriff’s department’s “well check” list.
