Providence Ministries announced in June that they will be opening a new thrift store in Chattooga County at the old Bi-Lo Building in Summerville.  Now, they are looking for a store manager.

The location in Summerville will be the fifth thrift store operated by the ministry based in Dalton. Providence Ministries operates thrift stores in Dalton, Calhoun and Fort Oglethorpe in Georgia and also has a location in Chattanooga, TN.

The ministry operates homes for troubled youth, crisis pregnancy centers and has programs for men and women struggling with addiction.

According to the ministry’s thrift store web site: “For over 25 years, Providence Thrift Stores has supplied shoppers with thousands of items for a fraction of their original cost! Thanks to our donors, you can enjoy a huge variety of those everyday items you need or find that special one-of-a-kind deal.”

Roy Johnson, the founder and CEO of Providence Ministries says that it will be a few months before the store opens in the 44,000 square foot facility in Summerville.
