A forty-three-year-old Summerville woman wound up in jail on Sunday after she refused to stop talking.

According to a report from the Summerville Police Department, Mary Ann White was involved in a family altercation that escalated to the point that police were called.  Police said that while they were on the scene trying to sort through the situation, White refused to quit talking and was “talking over” others.

After not complying with several requests from officers to stop talking, White was placed in a patrol car where she began to yell.  After refusing commands by police to stop yelling, White was placed under arrest and charged with disorderly conduct.
